I believe you would be correct for an L-Jetronic car, but the
D-Jetronic cars fire the injectors once per 4-stroke cycle. Each
contact of the FI pair controls a pair of injectors: 1 & 4 fire
together and 3 & 2 fire together. Thus in one rotation of the
distributor the crank turns two revolutions, each injector fires once
and each spark plug fires once. That's one complete 4 stroke cycle
for the engine..
