Insuance on my new 71 -Reply

Sheesh!!

My 71 square runs about 500 a year, with decent coverage. Start calling
other people. I have Progressive, they are pretty cheap. And they
realized a VW 2 door wasn't a Delorean.

BTW I'm 23, male, single, and live in Tampa, Fl (big cities are I guess more
expensive). I get occasional tickets, so I'm not like the patron saint of safe
drivers or anything.

$2000 a year??? You could buy VW ! Every year! how cool would that
be....

I went to my insurance company today and got insurance on my
"new" 71 squareback and got a shocking suprise. The lady at my
insurance
company said my car had to be insured at the same rate as a sports
car!
My s'back is an automatic and as other auto type three owners know
it is NOT all that sporty (as in very little pickmeup). Does any body
know of any way around this? I am an 18 year old male and my insurance
is expensive enough as it is. my car is costing nearly $2k a year for
liability!
