This morning, I sent the following request to Kymco Motorsport. Kymco
makes an excellent 75-amp alternator kit for upright fan engines. Trying
to persuade them into designing something for us Type-3 Volks.
It might be a futile effort.. who knows.

Please, design a 75-amp alternator kit for Type 3's that fit under the
rear decklid. I'd be in the market for 5 of them if you ever did.
Some of us Type-3 enthusiasts have modified 50-amp alternators to fit in
our Type-3's but it is crude and a snug fit. I am sure Kymco could easily
design a much better system. ;-)
Just thought I would bounce the idea off of your heads.
