Where have all the Type-3s gone...

A vacation postcard to all of you:  

           "The scenery is here, wish you were beautiful."

Having survived a two-week vacation in which I drove over 4,000 miles,
I am pondering a question:

        "Where have all the Type-3s gone, long time driving..."
        (you can sing along with this if you remember the tune)

During the two weeks on the road, I never saw a single Type 3.  None.
Not a squareback, nary a fastback, and never a notch.

I am astonished. Are there that few of us anymore?

Oh well, at least they live on thru this discussion group. 

Ah, it's good to be back. Vacation's will kill you!
