I have a 1966 Euro Type III for sale in the los angeles area. The Reason I am selling: I am starting graduate school. I can't afford to restore the car, much less keep it around until I have the time and $$ to restore. I am considering all offers. The Good: The squareback is a European model. It has no reverse lights on the rear and turn signals mounted on the front fenders and a VW sunroof. The car is 99% stock (One brake caliper has been replaced as has the ignition coil, pressure plate, and vacuum advance.) I have a nearly complete tool kit, and owners manual (written in German) No Bondo or body rot on the car. Interior is worn, but not destroyed. Transmission was rebuilt when I bought the car. The Bad: I am missing one of the original rims. (The car has 4 wheels and a spare. However, one of the rims isn't original.) I had to replace the driver's door due to a negligent driver. The Ugly: The engine needs a rebuild. You will need to tow the car if you wish to purchase.
