That's nothing. I need a set of inner fender panels for the little girl, so after beating my head against Bill & Steve's "we won't ship sheet metal" wall for a while, I called Type III Detectives in the U.K.. Lee told me that he had the panels, only about $125 each from the door to the bumper mounting. Great deal, says me, let's make a deal. He told me he would have to call back with the shipping. When he called back, his shipper was going to charge L350 (that's pounds), about $500 Yankee dollars. Once I came to, I told Lee I would check on my own shipping through the company I work for because we do a lot of international shipping. Our freight forwarding company couldn't beat that price, so our purchasing agent and I decided we might be able to slip it into a regular FedEx shipment. FedEx wouldn't take it regular, but they would be glad to ship it oversize freight for a mere $900.00. Needless to say, I'm going to find out how good my body shop's metal fabrication skills really are. Jake "anybody traveling from the U.K. to Miami want to carry a box for me?"
