California Imports (in B.C., Can.) has had some hairy problems trying to ship their late T3 fenders. They said it depends on which UPS person comes by in the truck--some of them will take 'em, some won't. Also, on one occasion, the shipper decided they had to farm it out to another shipping company and charged them beaucoup bucks (or would that be beaucoup Loonies?) to ship 'em by plane. Cal Imports charges a flat shipping rate & takes the lumps if shipping gets screwed up--though it sounds like they've caught on to some of the tricks. (p.s.: I UPS'd a Beetle decklid about 150 miles for like $8! Couldn't believe it! Made a custom-fit, smallest possible box...) -Greg '69 & '71 Squarebacks '63 Beetle
