Not sure if you would see anything with a VOM there; the pulse may be 
too brief to register.

Other things to check:
1)  Do you hear two relay clicks in the car when you turn on the key?
If not, check the FI power wiring under the back seat and ground 
wires in the engine compartment.

2)  Do you hear clicks from the injectors when you move the throttle 
with the key on but the engine off (70-3 cars only?)  Do this from 
the engine compartment so you can hear.

3)  Can someone else hear the fuel pump  run for a second when you 
first turn on the key?  You may need to stick your head under the 
front bumper to hear this.
