Hey Dave, I'm a bit of a lurker but I know the answer to this one. There is a small springsteel tab on the side of the seat rail that is nearest the center of the car. (R.H. side on drivers seat - L.H. side on passenger seat) as you slide the seat forward you must depress this tab (push down) in order for the seat to come all of the way off of the seat mounting rails. Be carefull not to tear the carpets when the seat comes all of the way forward. I usually have someone sit in the back seat to help me push gently with thier feet. Try a little liquid wrench under the seat rails of the passenger seat and remember to lift the release lever on the seat as you apply pressure from behind. Watch out for your fingers! Hope this helps. Mike '71 & '72 Squarebacks >I know I asked this question before and received an answer, but I can't >find it >anymore.
