I noticed driving tonight that the gen light is dimmly (very dimmly)lit at HIGHER rpm's and goes out completely at idle. This seems bassackwards, huh ? This was with the headlights on. I also noticed that when any other elec stuff was turned on, like the turns and brake lights, the gen light would glow a litle more brightly. This time, if I upped the rpm, nothing would change. What is going on ? The generator is stock, but the brushes look OK (to a dummy though), any ideas ??? To recap, the gen is on very dimmly when driving when electrical system is loaded somewhat, but goes out at IDLE rpm. When all electrics off, the light never comes on.
