Yep, and in 2003 and beyond any vehicle that is 30 years old will be exempt
from the smog checks. Turns out that 99% of the vehicles that are really
old (30+ years in their minds) pass the smog checks. However, once those
vehicles turn custom it may be another story. Also, I don't know how this
may affect the noise laws so check. In Oregon I know I'm exempt!
