Getting the spring plates off required lots of prying and I sqirted a little brake cleaner into the inner bushings to try and break them free from the torsion housing. Don't use too much or it will remove the paint from the torsion bar and it will rust. I put white lithium grease on the inside of the bushings to help get them on and then covered them with talcum powder before installing them. I don't have any squeaks.
