FI and the fender filler were introduced at EXACTLY the same time.

He is either confused and the car is actually an earlier car, or it 
has been modified to remove the fender filler.  The factory made NO 
68 or later cars with the filler in the trunk.

Okay, after writing that, I decided to double check the microfilm and 
found that the intrunk filler was continued thru 68-9 for the type 
343 and 345s (Type 3 Ghias, LHD).  Still, there were no 68 or later 
fast, square, or notch backs turned out from the factory.
