I take it this is an electrical unit. These numbers sound a bit high
so I suspect that your dash unit is off calibration. My experience
with gauges is limited, but the pressure control valve in the block
is supposed to limit at 28 psi. A larger than stock oil pump can
overwhelm that valve, or someone might have installed a stronger
spring. It is vaguely possible that the valve is stuck. I have
never had this happen. Has anyone else?
It is strange that the pressure goes up as the engine warms up and
goes down at higher rpms. Did I read your message right?
