I think you are right Wayne, but as the squabs and bases were the same right
through to '72, it would be just a matter of taking the Lo-back off the
squab/base and replacing it with a Hi-back.

The '73 Oz models,(would not be interchangeable)  had the three point seat and
base similar to late Beetles
and as not only are the seats different, but the bracketing on the pan was
different.

The side and centre slider brackets are different and there is an extra cross
bracket for the third point of the seat which runs across from centre tunnel
to side of pan.
