I have been learning how to use Excel, because I refuse to learn how to count, and working on automobiles always seems to require math at some point. So, to make the task of learning how to use excel more entertaining, I have been entering formulas from HP Books "auto math handbook" and other various reference books that I have laying around the house. I have tested each formula as I entered it and am working to expand it to include the formulas that relate to VWs the most. I will be happy to send a copy of it to anyone who asks for it. I don't know how to use macros, so it's pretty straightforward, and I'm also pretty lazy, so formulas that build on each other tend to be set up to enter their results into the next formula in the chain automatically. Those of you who already got Toby E's gearing analyzer http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/speedway/1641 , and can't get enuff of 'dem numbers, lemme know and I'll whip a copy out your way. BTW, some of these formulas will be worthless (even to the rocket scientists in the crowd) if you don't know how to use them, but that's okay, 'cause I don't know what they all mean either. If you happen to have or stumble across a copy of the book, you just have to plug in the numbers and go from there.
