good & bad news.

Dear friends,

	the good news?  I just opened a checking account dedicated to the
Type III list/web fund drive!  You will all receive a complete update and
"what next" information later today/early tomorrow.  Cool!

	The *bad* news... I'm going to put the type-3 list on "moderated"
status for a while; here are some reminders:

	o Please DO NOT post anything other than short, plain text
messages to the list (no binaries, attachments, etc.) .
	o Please DO NOT post non-Type III material to the lists,
*especially* hoax virus warnings, despite good intentions.

	If you're unclear about either of the above, either now or in the
future, please drop me a line for clarification.  Oh--while we're on
"moderated" status, incoming posts will go through me & I'll forward them
to the list a couple of times a day or so.  You folks are a good bunch and
I'm always impressed at the quality of the discussion here, but we need to
keep things on track.
