On some years they are marked with a stamp L and R on top. The right side is shorter, probably because the arm just flops off the screen anyways. And/or because with a longer left you get more overlap at the center. They are only 1/2 to 3/4" different anyways. Up to '67 the wiper shafts have a smaller nubbin sticking out (approx. 1/4" vs. 3/8"), and then in '71 there is a screw accesed from on top. The lengths remain the same. The reason I am learning this is because I got some NOS SWF wiper blades, and discovered my arms didn't match/incompatible. The Anco blades were also a lot shorter. The NOS ones mount offcenter, with more blade toward the bottom. Whatever set up you end up using, the blade should sweep across the widest area possible. The real limitation being the top of the windscreen. I appears that the stock set up comes within 1/2" of the rubber seal. By the way, it has been extremely sunny and nice in Portland this week. I hear it is actually raining in LA! HA HA HA You Cali boys and girls better have been taking notes. Love, Peter Parker '66 Square; Phillip Portland, OR
