If I edit your text to the way the later microfilm looks, I get:
"361 857 502B - Rear view mirror, outer rt (361, 363: M261)"
M 261 ADDITIONAL REAR VIEW MIRROR, 365-368
OUTER, RIGHT
"361 857 502D - Rear view mirror, outer rt Convex (M62: 311, 313,
315, 317, 361, 363, 365, 367;M528: 361, 363, 365, 367)"
M 62 WATER CONTAINER WITH DECREASED
AIR CAPACITY AND ADDITIONAL AIR HOSE,
MODIFIED TAIL PIPE, ADDITIONAL
REAR VIEW MIRROR, OUTER, RIGHT
CONVEX (LHD ONLY)

This is pretty interesting, but there are two more:
312 857 502C- rear view mirror, outer, right (312, 314, 316, 318,
362, 364, 368)
361 857 502F- rear view mirror, outer, right (M124: 361, 363, 365,
367)
M 124 YELLOW HEADLAMPS 311-318,EXPORTMARKETS
AND SAFETY REAR VIEW MIRROR 361-368
To make things more confusing, there are only 3 left mirrors shown
(as compared to the 4 right side ones.)

As I recall, fastbacks came with only a driver's side mirror, but the
door on the other side had what looked like a flat painted dimpled
plug in a hole that could be removed to install a second mirror. I
know that if you remove a stock mirror from a car that came with it
you will see that there is a large nut welded to the inside of the
sheet metal. Does anyone know if the "far side" door on a fastback
actually already has that nut in place and how you remove the "plug?"
Is it possible that some (later?) notches came with similar "plugs"
in the far side doors?

Right, and I believe that for RHD cars there is a reverse setup.
This is what leads to all the confusion about mirror part numbers.

Would be nice, but probably hard to find.
How about T34s?
