gas heaters

Hello All,

Yes I know, I'm either six months early or six months late on this 
subject.  But my backside has only thawed in the last week.  My '67 
square is my daily ride, and it was cool this winter.  You know it's bad 
when you have frost on your windshield - and it's on the inside!  Not so 
uncommon I know.  But I really want this to be the last Winter like 
that.

So I need the low-down on gas heaters.  I have the opportunity to buy 
one out of a '73 Thing.  It is in super condition, shiny, still has the 
decals on it.  I believe it to be and ebersbacher.  OK, everyone have a 
good laugh, I have no idea in Hades how to spell it.

What is the best brand/model?

Were there different models for different years?  Did they evolve along 
with cars?

What were the different installations in squares, and which were best?

Just how dangerous are they?

What is an average price?

I thought someone told me there was a guy on the Web that had a site 
just for gas heaters.  Had insallation diagrams etc.  Anyone know?

Any additional info., ideas, or thoughts would be appreciated!
