Before I drop the engine or work on the rear suspension I like to buy a couple cans of gunk and drive the car to the local U-Wash. I carefully spray the cleaner on the now hot engine, rear suspension, etc. While I'm waiting I like to take some aluminum foil and wrap the distributor and most of the exposed electrical connects. This takes about ten minutes and gives the cleaner some foaming time. Then I spray the engine, rear suspension, etc. with the pressure washer. I am very careful when I spray in the engine compartment. The worst thing that has happen when doing this is I have gotten the distributor wet and I have to dry it out to go home. But it cleans the engine up nicely. ------------------------------------- Craig Woolston '70 Sqback and '71 Fastback cwoolsto@ladc.lockheed.com
