Don't stuff 40's in!  That's too big of an opening for such a short 
distance.  Your engine will perform much better with the 34's.

Which carbs did you use? Did they fit under the stock engine lid? I was
thinking of using a pair 34ICT's and short air cleaners, but I'm
unfamiliar with these cars, so if you were able to stuff a pair of
40IDF's in there, let me know.
