Hi Everyone- While I occasionally enjoy the "freebie" headrush I get from the gas fumes invading my 1968 sqbk every time I make a hard left turn, I've been concerned about possibly blowing myself up should some source of ignition (like my ashtray) happen upon those fumes. Therefore, after five years of living with a rotted-out fuel filler hose (the short, large diameter one that goes between the fender and tank) and only filling my tank 1/2 way, I've decided to finally find the part. My questions for y'all are a) Is there any plain tubing that will substitute for this part, and if so, what would it need to be made of? While I'm pretty sure a radiator hose for an American V-8 would fit, the gas would probably rot it out fast, wouldn't they? b) If I have to get the stock part, does anyone know where nice/cheap ones can be had before I trek out to Bud's Bugs to dig through the carcasses? :) Thanks! Dave
