Possibly parting w/my Type-3

Sorry I guess I didn't give much in the way of location did I?  I live
in Lexington, KY  (GO WILDCATS!!!!) and the number of air-cooled VW's 
here is scary.  I drive 40 miles a day to work and I don't even pass
a bug or bus much less a type-3.  I'm looking to get $700.00 to $800.00
out of my fastback even though I have probably $2000.00 invested in it.
Mechanically she seems fine (auto tranny slips going into 3rd) but she
needs a paint job in the worst of ways. Again there are no holes, front
fenders are not rotted, and the floors are solid.  I won't sell it to a
non vw person that's why I started here first.  If no bites I'll
probably take her to my in-laws farm and put her in their extra garage
until I can afford to do more to her.  Thanks for all responses.
