Hey, folks! I've got the engine and auto tranny out of the '71 T3 Sqrback I'm working on, and came across something that doesn't look right. While pulling the assorted hoses off, the one that connects the engine to the auto tranny had a good deal of ATF in it (oh, about 6oz). I'm refering to the metal cylinder that's screwed into the tranny body right by the pan. It looks like this shouldn't have fluid in it, as my Bently manual sez this is a vacuum connection (air, not fluid). So, Should this hose/cylinder have fluid in it? If not, anybody know where to find a replacement? The VW part number for it, as stapmed onto the casing is 003 325 391A.
