after market wheels for Type III's

I've been running steel wheels from a '73 or '74 Porsche 914 2.0 liter
American model wrapped with 165/15's for years on my Notch, and have had
no problems at all. They look like the VW Sport wheels from the Type
I's. It has a good offset that tucks the wheels up nice with a 2" front
lowering job, the wheels are 15X5.5" so the tires fit well, they bolt
right up to VW pattern, and with the beauty rings off a Chevy S-10 on
them (I know, I know, unoriginal), they have a very different look then
8-spokes, or anything else.  Besides, I got them at a junkyard, wrapped
in new Michelins, for $100.
