Hi, I have had a 2.0l engine in my '73 wagon for about four years and I don't regret it at all. It is stroked and "bored" to 1943cc, with an Engle 110 cam and duel 45 dellortos (it runs a bit rich, I should really rejet the carby). It is great fun to drive, mileage is bad especially around town or when you put the foot down. I have had no cooling problems, in fact I concerned that it runs too cool. I run standard valves with porting and 3 angle valve grind with heavy duty valve springs (so that 7,000 rpm is no problem) and solid rocker shafts (its was breaking the wave washers on the original rocker shafts. The crank has been counterweighted and the con-rod journals have been off set down-sized so that it now runs Holden star fire con-rods. It generally breaks something once a year. I have had problems with keeping the flywheel on. It was eight-dowelled and the fly-wheel nut tightened to 275 ftlbs but it still came loose. Now I'm on my second flywheel which I tighten to 300 ftlbs (you break the nut at about 320 ftlbs) and use the strongest locktite available. So far it has held together for two years. Cheers Tim
