I remember reading this book a few years ago. He focused on the '66-'69 US models pointing out the cooling problems that these models had. The louvers on the air intake do point in the wrong direction and I think there was an official service bulliten and maybe a recall on the subject. Of course I wasn't even born when all this was going on so I don't know how big a problem this actually was. Odds are that the models we have driving today are 1) the ones that didn't cook themselves in the '60s and 2) are kept in a state of tune that most everyday drivers buying these things new probably didn't do, so this problem rarely affects us.
