Just put the damn thing on a dolly or trailer it! 8/ Then you also
benefit by putting less wear on the rest of the parts (wheel bearings, for
example).

I remember hearing the same type of thing from my father. He had
mentioned heat as the primary reason. This would in turn harden the
seals and then they would crack and spew fluid.

drive shaft (impossible on a Type 3) the turning wheels will force fluid
through the tranny. After 30 miles the fluid will either heat up and be no
good or will cause the seals to blow. I don't remember the specifics but
