I got the Egg running again. Maybe it will stay that way this time.
The header and muffler from Gene Berg really helped out the idle with the 34
ICTs. Idles all the way down to about 600 rpm. The new (used) motor is much
smoother and has no oil leaks (except when I forgot to plug the type I oil
sending unit hole). Now if it will just pass inspection and I get the money
to tag it I'll have much more fun driving it.
After driving a friends Super Beetle to FLAPS for another new
starter I was really impressed with how much better my type III handles than
the SB. Is the front suspension that much better or is it just my wanting to
be better?
