Kind of an urgent situation. As some of you know, I have had the engine out of my 73 sq for quite some time. Following the drama of a bad align bore, incorrectly sized cam bearings (within the same package!), and other hassles, I am at a point of great excitement. I have the case together, the pistons, cylinders, and heads on, and have installed the flywheel and clutch and pressure plate. Now, here's my question. Being as how I purchased my square with a blown engine, and partially disassembled at that, I have run into a problem with the sheet metal. I am either short a piece, or have an extra. The piece I have is one that fits over the cylinders on the right side, but would require the removal and reinstallation of the cylinder bank on the left side to get under the oil cooler bracket. This piece is about 8 inches long front to back, 4 inches side to side, and kind of looks like a streched out "C" if viewed from the side. It also has two square holes about an inch and a half across. I have seen these pieces mounted on the bottom of the cylinders of a sand rail engine, and am wondering if they are an offroad part that somehow found it's way to my car. These pieces are not mentioned in the Idiot's Manual or in Tom Wilson's book either, nor are they pictured. They also will not fit under the cylinders because of the smaller air deflectors. Someone please help! Sorry this post is so long, but those suckers are hard to describe. Ooh, one more thing, I have also seen them for sale in the off road section of my local VeeDub store. Thanks for your time, Bryan
