I already replaced the gauge with what I suspect is a 12v one.  Because the
fuel reads way low.  So what I should do now is the reverse of this "easy to pop"
trick...  To put the 6v gauge into my late gauge!

If I was to go through with this, *new* carbs would also be an option.  I'm 
not so worried about the cost.  Well.  You know :-)fb
