Thanx for the info Craig, I'm indeed fuel-injected and have a new generator and regulator (Bosch). I'll check the idle voltage and the belt 1st. Guess I'll have to wait for my new shop manual to arrive to check-out the throttle position switch as I haven't a clue about that. I'll also check the fuel pressure and injectors. Thanks again, -Michael Morgan '72 Squareback >---------------Included Message--------------- > >Subject: Smog Hell amended. > >Fellow air-breathers, > I just got more specific advice about the '72 Squareback I'm having >trouble smogging. > > Idle RPM test: > CO should be under 5 but is 7.22 > HC - PPM should be under 0550 but is 0776 > > Anybody have any suggestions? > >------------------------------------- > >Not sure how much help this is but you are running too rich.
