>From the other posts I gather that this is FI. There is not much
that you can do with an intermittent problem until you catch it in
the act. If you do, here are some things to look for.
Not likely anything associated with the charging system.
Check all the wires under the back seat. Make sure that the "extra"
small wire that connects to the ring lug on the + battery lug is
intact.
Turn the ignition on and off and make sure that you hear a click from
under the back seat when the key is turned on and a second click from
under the dash about 1 second later.
Borrow a timing light and verify that the ignition system is
producing spark.
Borrow an Ohmeter and after carefully removing the 3 terminal
connector from the side of the distributor, connect the leads to 2 of
the 3 terminals on the distributor: center and one side, and center
and the other side, in turn. Verify that the Ohmeter shows the
resistance to be alternating between 0 and very high as you turn the
engine over with the starter.
Take two aspirin and call me in the morning.
