My $.02 worth of VW esoterica: I understood that the "backwards" vents
were on the '67 buses as well, an attempt by VWAG to improve cooling,
but had the opposite effect so that is why they were a one year only
item. Maybe not true, but if you say with a straight face and a
convincing tone, you will amaze people every time at parties.
