What a liar!

This reminds me of the time when I traded my 1967 Squareback for a 1956 Bug.
The guy came over to my house because I didn't want to go to Richmond, CA at
night (bad area at night) and we made the deal. He forgot the pink slip so we
just signed a Bill of Sale. He drove my Squareback home and I agreed to go the
next day to pick up the pink slip. The next day, he decided he had changed his
mind - my primered Squareback wasn't worth the same as his second-owner, cherry
ragtop '56 Bug... (No kidding!) He said he wanted to trade back - I said No,
obviously. I left. That night, he called me and threatened to call the police
if I didn't trade back plus I didn't have the pink slip so I didn't own the
car. I literally laughed and told him to go ahead and call the police. And as
for the pink slip, I didn't need it, I had a bill of sale with his signature.
He got really frustrated and said he wanted to talk to my dad (I was 18 at the
time). I went and got my dad to which he tried to use the same argument -
police, etc. My dad found this very entertaining as well and guy gave up.
Needless to say, I simply went to the Motor Vehicles department, told them I
lost the pink slip and the car was mine! I sold it later for almost twice what
my Square was worth.

On a side note, the guy, who was approx. 40 years old, claimed he was a doctor
in San Francisco but he was clearly a moron, could not spell simple words right
on the bill of sale, plus he had a Notch in his garage that he had cut the roof
off and made a roof out of wire mesh! I wish I had a picture of that roof - it
was one of the most heinous acts of Notch destruction I have ever seen. (And
I've seen a few...)
