Re: Volunteer Bug Jam

Drew,
The pan bolts in with the original bolts in the channel on the car's
perimeter. As far as attaching it along the midline of the car, you simply
drill through pan and shift tunnel (from underneath) and screw it on with
sheet metal screws w/ washers. The pan is from Innovations in Fiberglass, and
I bought their install kit (screws, washers, and 50 year silicone caulk).
The kit was $12.00, and I'll need more caulk to do the driver's side. You
NEED a reciprocating saw (Sawzall) to do this job! I picked up an industrial
model in great shape at a pawn shop for $50.00. If you're using your original
seats you need to save the outer seat rail when you cut out the old pan. Good
instructions and their catalog came with the pan. One more note - You have
to relocate the battery ground strap to a metal home (not a problem as there
are a few hearty bolts to choose from nearby). Hope this helps.
