All three gauges are held in with spring clips on their left and right sides; you need to squeeze these together to allow each gauge to be pulled out toward the rear of the car. Start by removing the two screws that hold the fuse box in place, then pull it gently down and slightly rearward, out of the way. Reach up and pull the back ~1" off the fuel gauge cluster. It just pulls off. Then squeeze the gauge body's springs together and extract it through the dash. Go to the right side, reach up with one hand, and squeeze the clock springs together. Then pull the clock out of the dash. If you're only interested in the speedo, you can just let the clock hang gently from its wires. Follow the speedo cable up to the speedo and unscrew the coupling nut that holds the cable to the speedometer head. After noting carefully how the speedo cable is routed (for later reference) pull the cable out of the back of the head. Now reach one hand in through each hole on either side of the speedo and squeeze the two speedo clips together until you can push it out the front of the dash. Installation is MUCH easier, except for getting the speedo cable re- attached to the head. You will find that it may be difficult to find a odometer that is still working unless it has already been fixed. This is a common problem with VDO odometers. I can fix these for a very reasonable price if you like.
