Doesn't sound stupid to me. Unhook the speedo cable and pull out the little gauge light. You then can feel a clip on either side of the gauge (at 3 and 9 o'clock) - these need to be pushed inward near the face of the gauge (toward the rear of the car). The gauge will then pop out. Sometimes it's easier to remove the clock first (same clips) and then pop the speedo out. Bye, Everett
