This thread may be the place for me to jump in and add my I just bought... to the fray because I just bought a '64 Type 34 Ghia for $1000 Now, granted, more parts were in boxes than attached and I don't even have a 6-volt battery to see if the clock works, but the body is sound and the important parts are there and with some body massage and paint it should be drivable this spring. By way of introduction, I just found this list yesterday and here I am already. Any fellow Type 2 folk may know of me from the Type2 and Vanagon lists, or from NEATO. I have an equal share of credentials and questions since I'm a neophyte to the Type III world. All I know is I have wanted a Type 34 Ghia since the 60s and I finally located a *find* I couldn't refuse. -Jim Bryant '64 Type 34 Ghia '66 Deluxe Bus (parts) '67 Deluxe Bus (restored) '67 Double Cab '67 Westfalia '67 Westfalia walk-thru '73 Super Beetle (wife's) '84 Vanagon GL with a green puddle under it
