I have squareback which I'm going to be taking apart soon. It was running when the Previous Owner parked it, but since his teenage soon hacked off the roof I'm not planning on getting it back on the road. I want to do a compression check on the engine before I pull it. Just to get an idea of what shape it is in. I may need to review my book to remember the details but I've done a compression check on my other SB before. In this "new" car the fuel line around the injectors is leaking and I was wondering if someone could offer a few hints on any extra steps I should do to be fire safe? I was thinking about disconnecting the electrical connection at the fuel pump and may be the coil also. (I know to remove the high tension wire but I was not sure of the other wires on the coil.) Any help on this matter will be appreciated. Also. I may be willing to part with some parts (cheap). Once I remove what I need I will probably send the shell to the graveyard :-( The car is about 1.5 hours away from my house and I plan to see it for the first time this weekend.
