The bodies look to me like they were designed to be dipped, but that may
have just been for a prime coat or something. I have a hard time believing
that the final finish is that of a dip, but I don't really know. I'm sure
the paint was dry before anything else was installed, because the headliner
and the tape I referred to show no sign of messing up a wet paint film.
Strange and awkward would be right!
