Comparable with that on the Bug? I can live with that ... o.k., it gets a little cold now that temperatures are down to -13C (8.6F) (but my Bug is missing some ducting behind the dash). >Manual is better than automatic, especially when it comes repair/replace >time... But what's your verdict of the automatic - driving wise? It is any good? Or is it just a worthless piece of machinery compared to other auto transmissions (apart maybe from repairs)? >Adding a little extra hp to a stocker is just as easy as doing it do a Bug so I >would recommend avoiding the Type IV conversion. I was not contemplating a turbo for daily use... What I want is a Squareback with good cruising speed (with that I mean 120 kmh = 75 mph) and a low-end torque engine for use around town. That's why I was thinking about a 1.8 FI T4 engine. >I see nothing wrong with a sliding roof -- when you can use it you'll be glad >you got it.
