Brasilia was a rather generic name for almost any kind of car that VW/Brazil
decided to make. I saw a half dozen or so in two months in Buenos Aires
(right, that's not Brazil), but a friend who lived for a few years in Sao
Paulo said that there was every kind of Brasilia you could imagine. I don't
think it is safe to generalize. I have never seen one that I was sure was
type III underneath.
