Howdy. First, I'd like to thank everyone for their advice regarding my valves. I finished the Grand Tune Up - set the valves, timing, new oil, plugs, wires, etc. The car is running much better now. However, it still has the same problem from before - it misfires in 3rd and 4th gear at certain revs (not always)...at about 60 kph in 3rd, and around 80 in 4th. It happens more under heavier loads. I'm guessing the problem is the vacuum advance. I tested the advance by sucking on the dizzy, as per Muir. The advance plate moved, but slowly slid back. I thought it was my weak smoker's lungs, but now I'm thinking a problem with the dizzy. Would a leak in the diaphraghm explain this? The problem never happens at all in 1st or 2nd... Thanks! Jonathan
