Didn't we have a discussion about this before?
Maybe it was the VintageVW list?
I think it was determined that a tow bar should not be used in place of the
bumper unless there was no rust on the body. If you tried to tow a rusty
vehicle by the bod you might tear the front sheet metal. I seem to remember
someone making one that bolted to the fromnt axle??? Anyone have some of the
messages archived???
