Type-3 A/C System

Hello everybody,

Got some questions, does anyone know if the a/c systems that I have seen in
some type-3 were a factory option, or a dealer "aftermarket" install.

Are there any books or maintenance manuals for these units...I have some
parts for a a/c unit that I pulled out of a '68 I am parting out, and just
this weekend on a trip to look at a parts/car stock-pile (thats another
story I will tell everyone about in a couple of days) I saw a '71 with one
of the parts for an a/c system that I dont have.....the under the dash
blower/vent unit. There was a compressor sitting on the floor next to it,
but I wasn't sure if it came from the t-3. The compressor was huge....and
were did they mount it, with the way the fan shroud is, I just dont see how
they did it.

So I know that (someone) installed a/c systems in t-3 years ago....but who,
and can you get parts....or any info for that matter.

I have yet to see a whole system still in a car....but if I do it sure would
answer a lot of questions.
