"...they have never done it themselves..." I find this a tad disturbing. I would expect this answer from a whole sale company but not from a small specialized business. Naturally they've never heard of others having problems. I've talked with them before and customer service is not one of their strong points. Hey, I know! Who'd like to begin a Type 3 parts business that specializes in all T3 parts and is not afraid to fabricate custom parts. Call me! Ha, just kidding -- if I had the capital, a garage and someone competent in metal working I'd love to have a home business as such. At least I know the value of good customer service, something that is lacking in many businesses. Author: type-3-errors@umich.edu at SMTPGATE Date: 2/11/97 8:48 AM Well, I need help! I'm recovering the rear lower bench in my 65 Notch with covers from Bill&Steves and Geeze I just cant get it on!! I called B&S but all they could say was that they have never done it themselves and have never heard of problems, no help at all! Problem: I replaced the horse hair witha foam pad and am trying to put the cover on as the original, over the little spikes, and I just cant get the lower section (with a string in it, untied) to go all the way around the lower seat rail. The diameter of the fully stretched cover, on the bottom, is MUCH less than the lower seat rail. I know there supposed to be a real stretch, I did the fronts sucessfully, but has anyone had similar problems?? WHO MAKES THE COVERS FOR B&S?? Any thoughts are going to be better than what I got from B&S. Thanks; Keith parkkj@crd.ge.com
