I'm Still Searching for that perfect Squareback or Safari....?

Hello again everyone!

A few of you candidly mentioned that my all capital typing style was not
welcome, others though were just quite rude!  To all who were polite....I'll
never use all caps again.....to all who were jerks.......I'll never help you
with a problem again!  Sound fair...I believe so. :-)

On to my question:  I'm still searching for that perfect type III square...or
now since the 1969 model and earlier seem so rare......I've started juggling
the idea of looking at Safari's.  Anything I should know about this
model....good or bad?  If I did decide to go with a Safari model....and
knowing I prefer the older look of V W....which years would you guys
recommend to me...and how much will I have to spend to aquire one?

I'm now about half way through John Muir's famous manual.  I believe John's
feelings about life and V W's are very close to mine.  If you guys haven't
read this amazing book....I strongly recommend doing so.
