> I'm deeply concerned by this thread. WCM has stock window seals > with the chrome channel; granted they are expensive. But they are > in the catalog. Is it the chrome strip itself that is hard to find? > Or does WCM have lots of stuff listed that won't really be deliverable? > Well, I did all of this about 1 1/2 years ago, and at that time, (between the stocks of WCM and Bill and Steves) I was able to get the following: Front (windshield) , rear window seal in Cal look or original (chrome in) side window seals- Only in Cal look. I called several places, even asked on the net, couldn't find them. All of the door seals, including the rear hatch and the front trunk seal were available at the 2 places I mentioned. ($$$, though) Because I didn't want to mix the cal look with stock, I purchased all in the Cal look style. I did not, however convert the windows on the doors to Cal look. This involves taking out the quarterlight windows and putting in single piece windows with no chrome trim. So, my car is a bit of a mixed bag (you can see how it looks on Greg's scrapbook section of the T3 owner's manual home page and judge for yourself). Being a purist and a chrome lover, I would have preferred to keep it original all the way around. However, I just didn't have the right seals available for the side windows. I *had* to keep those quarterlights, though! I don't know why anyone would ever take them out, they're perfect for rapid defogging on the windshield. If anyone has to replace their side seals, at least keep the chrome so you can go original sometime down the road when someone decides to make the right parts. Be sure to not try to take the chrome strips out while the windows are in place; I did this and bent mine up forever (#$%%^^&%$!) Hope this helps, Doug H. '71 Squareback
